Sewanee: The University of the South

About Us

Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Founded in 2017, The Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi is dedicated to helping connect members to something bigger than themselves. We value scholarship, leadership, service and sisterhood. These values shine through our connections on Sewanee’s campus and within the community. Our members represent a variety of clubs, sports, and activities. Our members participate in Arcadians, Order of the Gown, Roteract, University Choir, Language Houses, Theater, Equestrian Team, Track and Field Team, and Cheer Team, just to name a few! We pride ourselves on authenticity, and becoming truer friends each day.
